From the first conversation to the night of the wedding, working with Barb and Skye was effortless. They captured my daughter’s vision and created a gorgeous bouquet, beautiful tablescapes, and warm and inviting floral room decorations. The process was seamless and the night was magical!

Barb and Skye are talented, creative, and wonderful to work with. With one phone call, I knew they were the team for my wedding. They are professional, but more importantly they are SO TALENTED!! I did not know exactly what I wanted for my wedding day, but I have a loose idea. With a few Pinterest pictures for inspiration, Barb and Skye exceeded my expectations. The flowers were modern, classic, and simply beautiful. It was single handedly the biggest compliment I received from my wedding day. You will NOT be disappointed working with such wonderful women!

Working with the team at Wanton Poppies was incredible from start to finish. They completely understood my vision, put together a mood board, and somehow the wedding was even more beautiful than my expectations. I cannot thank them enough.

Skye and Barb did a fabulous job executing the vision for our wedding flowers and we were so incredibly pleased! Our color scheme was purple, green, and yellow, and the arrangements they came up with were gorgeous. The table arrangements were playful, colorful, and we had several guests compliment them. They also made a lovely greenery arrangement on the brick wall behind our sweetheart table that was wonderful. Skye and Barb have great style and were easy to work with - 10/10 would recommend!

HIRE THEM!!! Easily my favorite decision of our wedding. Barb and Skye completely transformed my venue and brought my exact vision to life! They were so easy to work with and highly responsive, which made it completely stress free as we always knew they were on top of everything. After our initial chat ,they sent a proposal which perfectly captured my style. As I did more wedding planning, my vision changed a bit and they were super accommodating (even with my oddly specific requests). Our venue was absolutely breathtaking and guests are STILL talking about the florals. Also, Barb and Skye went above and beyond —our bridal party was lined up ready to go down the aisle when we realized someone forgot a bouquet on the bus. Within 2 minutes they whipped up a new bouquet out of spare flowers and we were all amazed!! Additionally, I felt their price was very reasonable considering their incredible service and style. THANK YOU!!!

If we could give a gajillon stars we would! Barb, Skye and their team were true professionals with a passion for what they do, which shows in their work. They are lovely and easy to work with. They brought our vibrant vision to life better than we could've imagined, and were able to do so within our budget. We could not have picked a better team than Skye and Barb! They're incredibly kind and easy to work with. They seemed to take our photo inspo ideas and run with them and somehow brought our floral dreams to life even better than we could've imagined. Everything from the floral proposal to day-of decor was stunning and beyond what I had envisioned. You cannot go wrong hiring Wanton Poppies!

Barb & Skye are THE ultimate dream team. My husband & I eloped, but celebrated with ~75 of our closest family & friends at Gunther & Co. We initially shopped a few local florists, but Wanton Poppies really stood out to us. One top reason being women owned. Secondly they were extremely attentive, personable & responsive to our needs throughout the entire process. What sold me was how thorough they were with the proposal. I am no expert to arrangements: flower frogs, votives, all the terminology was new to me, but they were so understanding & patient. They even pulled together visuals so we knew exactly what to expect. They made our day seamless, worry free & exceeded our expectations. Barb & Skye made the set up and breakdown seem so easy, our guests were raving about how dreamy all the florals & drapery were in such an industrial space. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Wanton Poppies. From the first phone call, Barb and Skye understood my vision perfectly. I had received about 5 proposals prior to speaking with them, and I was blown away by how quickly they knew just what I was looking for. They were helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process and made any necessary changes right away. While I knew they were amazing, nothing could have prepared me for how perfectly they would capture everything on the day of the wedding. The ceremony wall was EXACTLY how I pictured, the bouquets were stunning, and the table arrangements were perfect. Every detail was incredible - they even brought the most perfect details to the hotel for our photographer to use and when my bouquet had a few loose flowers before the ceremony due to the wind they fixed it immediately. I can't recommend Wanton Poppies more!!! Thank you to Barb and Skye for creating the wedding reception of my dreams!!!

I 100% recommend working with Wanton Poppies for your event florals - you won’t be disappointed! From the beginning of working with them on our fall wedding, Barb and Skye were super friendly and easy to work with. After our initial conversation they produced a proposal with mood boards that nailed our ethereal, romantic yet modern vision, played up the best aspects of our venue, and fit our budget. They also came through in a pinch - when our caterer surprised us a few days before our wedding to say we had to select all new dinnerware and linens (they had failed to put in our original rental order on time), I emailed Barb to ask which available colors/styles she thought would look best with the florals and candles they’d be using on our tables, because I was struggling to make a quick decision. She responded promptly with her suggestions (and some empathy, which does not go unnoticed in a stressful moment like that!) and everything came out looking perfect and beautiful on our wedding day. The ceremony florals and tablescapes were stunning, and they also had ideas for little details like installations at the foot of the statement staircase in our venue that added a beautiful touch. Our guests were blown away. And it was all done for a good price compared to many florists in the DC market. Honestly, my only regret is not splurging on more florals so they could have worked even more magic with the space!

I can’t say enough good things about wanton poppies!! First of all, Barb and Skye are absolutely the most wonderful people to work with! They took my vision and made it better than I could have every imagined! They stayed through the whole day to make sure the decor was perfect! The weather made things difficult but they adjusted and made my dreams come true! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and the arrangements they put together were so unique!

Not only were Skye and Barb a joy to work with, they also took my vision and turned it into a more beautiful reality than I could have ever imagined. Skye and Barb took my jumble of Pinterest ideas and turned them into a beautiful, flawless scape. They were so responsive and easy to work with and provided a lot of items themselves (vases, candles, etc...) making it so easy to work with just one vendor on floral and decor. My vision was all over the place but they incorporated everything I wanted into one magical, cohesive space.
